Arts 495 serves as the University’s Writing Proficiency [WP] course requirement. As such, writing as it relates to the field of studio art is an important part of the class.
In today’s art world any emerging artist needs internet exposure. A web or blog site is a must. You will be creating one for this class.You may either design your own site or use existing templates. It should at a minimum include 8-10 images, contact info, a resume, artist’s statement and a brief biography.
You will get instruction on both the written content for your web/blog as well as rudimentary instruction on some of these sites… Tumblr, Wix and Weebly are examples of free sites that host websites (I’m sure there are others too). WordPress is one of the many free blog hosts.
